Config option missing? #26
Comments
Same here. I want to disable the thing where if I'm eating sweet berries and I look at the grass, it'll place the sweet berries instantly, even the one I'm currently eating |
@VL4DST3R @Keaton42 are you using the latest version v1.3.1, and do you have both Mod Menu and Cloth Config installed? I'm unable to recreate this issue on a fresh instance with just those mods installed, so I suspect you're missing Cloth Config or else this is a conflict with another mod (although I fail to see how another mod would prevent ABPs config from working). @Keaton42 could you open a separate issue for the sweet berries? That behavior is semi-unintended, and seems like a continuation of #18 and #19. |
Downloading the latest version of Accurate Block Placement fixed the sweet berries issue! Thank you! As for the mod menu, I'm still missing a config option. It doesn't appear in the file config either, at least when I search "accurate" in config, nothing shows up. Sorry that I'm unable to provide any more information, I don't know why it's doing that either. None of my other mods mess with a config or mod menu |
Running 1.2.6 which is the latest one you have available for my game version (1.21). Also I believe you cannot even run the mod without having those 2 dependencies installed, but anyways I double checked and yes, I have both, updated to the latest version available.
It may indeed be, I have not tested with just this mod installed since just like you said I find it very unlikely for another mod to affect just this mod in such a way. Again I should also mention that I am experiencing this on 1.21, @Keaton42 what are you on? |
The config wasn't added until v1.3.0, so that explains why you can't access it. Still unsure why @Keaton42 can't access it if they're on v1.3.1 now. I will see if I have (or can build) a copy of the mod for 1.21 that includes the config changes. |
Lol I had no idea this was the cause. I also requested this on one of the other issues you mentioned but I'm glad you are looking into this! Much appreciated! |
accurate-block-placement-1.3.1-S.zip @Keaton42 If you're on a version prior to 1.21.3/1.21.4, please try the version attached above. Otherwise, verify that you have ABP v1.3.1 with the latest version of Cloth Config, and try doing it in a fresh instance with nothing but those mods to see if it works |
Thank you, I'm playing version 1.21.1, I should've specified earlier. I'll get back to you in just a sec to see if it works Update: My game crashed on startup unfortunately, but here is my crash report: https://mclo.gs/CGE3r7l |
@Keaton42 please disable or remove No Mining Cooldown, and try again. The version of ABP I uploaded above has an identical feature called Fast Block Breaking, that works exactly (and I mean exactly) the same as NMC. I was unaware that ABP and NMC were incompatible, and I'll see if I can fix that or else make it error out more gracefully. |
Gave the above version a try and it does indeed work! Config and all. Thank you for this, you may want to add it to modrinth as well so others can use it also! Feel free to close this when the above issue with fast block breaking has also been addressed. |
It all works, thanks man!! The no mining cooldown config option for ABP works like a charm, and I've removed NMC, and everything is working! Thanks for seeing the mod incompatibilities for me, I know it's a pain because I have over 500 mods 👍❗ |
Excellent! Closing this now as the only real issue left is possibly fixing NMC incompatibility, and that's on my off-site to-do list 😆 |
Can I just say: you are genuinely awesome. The professionalism with which you handle these issues and how thorough you are in debugging it to help us, even when it's for an older version, is admirable. It's great to see a developer who cares about their mod and its users so much. I wish more mod authors would be like you! |
Yes!! I cannot agree more!! My cousin introduced me to your mod and man has it been so helpful since. My friends, my cousin, my brother and me all appreciate how useful it is and I don’t want that to go unnoticed. You’ve got nearly a million downloads on both mod platforms and I’m sure at the very least half those people appreciate this mod as well! Thank you for you your help man, mod developers and mod forkers alike are the very reason I’m still able to play Minecraft and enjoy it—truly. Without mods, I would have dropped the game entirely, and the game makes up most of my life. ❤️🫡 |
The mod itself works and I have mod menu installed but I cannot seem to find any way to configure anything about the mod: Within the mod list the usual "settings" button for mods does not show up for accurate block placement and even looking inside the game folder for anything config related to the mod came up blank.
