Some ideas for UI improvement

That is not easy to read :)

• Cleanup the main screen in vertical layout - yes, good point.
• Touch-draggable scroll bar was just added: UI: Make vertical scrollbars directly draggable #16785
• Search, yeah could be good
• Rescanning is less harmful than maintaining some cache on disk because it only involved reads
• Tab swipe, yeah, I guess it might be cool
• More save slots, see Redesign pause screen UI - ideas here #13016 , might happen
• I see what you mean with sidebar, yeah that would be a more modern layout, but I like the current layout at least in horizontal mode.

BTW, something i always wanted since Android 12 was released is material UI support. Is it on the roadmap / planned to be supported soon?

I've thought about just making it so if you start typing in the recent list, it starts searching. Would be really nice on desktop. I feel like a search icon might be a bit annoying for some users, though - I guess depending on how big it is, maybe.
