Yes, not all repos are hosted on GitHub, but a large majority. :-) It should not be too complicated to maintain a small list of URL constructors for known remotes. Some other git clients such as VS Code SCM do this, too. If added, "open in GitHub" should be directly available in the menu of the commit list, branch list, and remote list.
Implementation: not sure whether this would be implemented in Squot or only in Squit.
