The sympi used is designed to handle multiple workspaces. By default, the workspace is $HOME/.sympi. To change the workspace location, simply set the SYMPI_INSTALL_DIR environment variable with the path to the directory that you wish to use as new workspace.
Once you choosed your workspace, execute sympi_init to activate it.
