Read Andy Greenberg's recent book "Tracers". TL;DR: web3 privacy is largely compromised.
Blockchain telemetry data is transparent to the point that transaction data is effortlessly correlated to identity and traceable. Sure, you didn't do anything wrong, let alone illegal. But now, that data can make you vulnerable to any attacker with the right resources today, and is becoming cheaper and easier for abusers tomorrow. "I have nothing to hide" is not a valid defense to hide behind anymore. Open transaction analysis can compromise anyone who crosses the wrong person with the right resources, this is not supportive of a healthy society.
This is probably a bigger task than the devs here are cut out for, but I believe this is the right place to start this conversation. Despite my disappointments with the functionality of this wallet, I think it is the wallet that is going in the right direction more than others. I will say I am impressed with the tor integration in the wallet, although there's still room for improvement. AFTER READING THE BOOK, lets brainstorm some mitigation techniques that may be implemented to make transacting safe again.
