Please bump compatibility upwards to cover LMS8.1+ -- LMS 8.1 is being pushed as a regular update to 8.0 and 8.2 is the new development branch.

My LMS 8.1 complains that the LazySearch plugin is no longer compatible and needs to be updated.

Probably need to bump in install.xml:

<targetApplication>
	<id>Squeezebox Server</id>
	<minVersion>7.6</minVersion>
	<maxVersion>8.0+</maxVersion>
</targetApplication>

to 8.1+ or better 8.2+

(having made that change locally, the plugins again loads without complaint)

In which path can I find "install.xml" (debian stretch)?

In which path can I find "install.xml" (debian stretch)?

That should be /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/LazySearch2/install.xml (on Debian)

Please could someone help me get this reinstalled. I made the mistake of removing it when the LMS got upgraded to LMS 8.1, now I can't get it back. The first time I installed this I had to add a repo.xml to the "Additional Repositories", which made it show up for installation, when it stopped working I think it was due to repo.xml having not been updated to say 8.1 and above are OK for the installation, however now I see that http://www.hickinbottom.com/sc-plugins/repo.xml now has had an update so in theory should allow me to see Lazysearch 2 in the list of Plugins, but for some reason its not showing.

I asked over at the Slimdevices forum - https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?113400-Lazy-Search-2-Not-showing-in-list-of-plugins/page2 and whilst they initially seemed to be helpful, everyone has stopped responding.

The SBS is almost unusable in this state, so any help would be appreciated

@Bluesman74 , it shows as a regular plugin on my (German-language) LMS 8.1 / 8.2 install. So can't help really.

Judging from the Slimdevices forum, you may have to install an old version of LMS (7.x), as the plugin should then show up as installable, install it, update LMS to 8.2 and then edit the install.xml (see above) to get it running again.

You should also check, first, if it shows under "incompatible" plugins on your current LMS 8.1 installation.
