Welcome to the Thea wiki!

Note: Thea is a massive WIP, and so this Wiki is implicitly aimed towards technical users who are trying to contribute or experiment with Thea. Using Thea as a home media manager is the ultimate goal, but it is simply not complete yet

Thea is a no-compromises solution to home media management, specializing in the ingestion and transcoding of media to multiple output formats/resolutions/etc.

This wiki aims to cover some key concepts of Thea, so that you can fully make use of Thea's flexibility and automation.. I'd suggest you follow the below links in order.

Alternatively, you can use the 'Next Steps...' headers in each page to take a flexible yet guided tour of the wiki.

  1. Creating your Thea configuration
  2. Building Thea
  3. Understanding Thea
  4. How Thea Communicates Problems
  5. Proving Dummy Testing Data

Known Issues

There are a lot of rough edges here, so expect to run in to a lot of trouble.

If you find something, please check it's not already documented in Troubleshooting. If not, feel free to log an issue.
