[Announcement] Upcoming Magic Modules language migration #19583
Comments
The Magic Modules repository has been migrated. If you have upcoming changes to Magic Modules, please make sure you are rebased on the latest commit in the main branch. |
I'm going to lock this issue because it has been closed for 30 days ⏳. This helps our maintainers find and focus on the active issues. |
If you are not making or planning changes to Terraform Provider Google using Magic Modules over the next week, you may ignore this announcement.
The Magic Modules code generator will migrate languages from Ruby to Go on Wednesday, September 25th. As a result, many open pull requests may become incompatible and won’t be able to be merged until amended.
Throughout the week, affected Magic Modules pull requests will receive a notification comment from our team with next steps. If nobody has reached out on your pull request by Wednesday October 2nd, please comment and your reviewer will follow up with next steps.
For an overview of the changes, see our list of migration-specific developer workflow changes.
Otherwise, our general contribution guide has been updated to reflect the language migration changes.
A preview branch for the Go migration changes has been prepared at magic-modules:FEATURE-BRANCH-rewrite-switchover-preview, which you can pull and draft changes against before the migration.
