Deletion of resource_aws_appautoscaling_target Incomplete #1765
Comments
The problem is actually worse, you're just seeing a symptom of it during deletion. The
This is only internal to Terraform as the AWS CLI for example always requires combination of resource id and scalable dimension flags to identify a target. The resource |
Encountering the same issue when changing the "min_capacity" and "max_capacity" to a different value after the auto scaling is in place for a DynamoDB table which was applied by Terraform. Using almost the same structure as @bbernays . |
Getting the same issue for an ECS based service . It gets created fine but can not update or destroy it . It even hangs at plan |
@adriantodorov Hey, can you clarify how is it related to this issue? If you're getting diffs for @humayunjamal Hey, are you sure it's related to this issue? Can you try applying my patch from #1808 locally + compiling and verifying if it fixes your issue (otherwise wait for it to be released)? If not, can you check your symptoms don't match any of the existing issues: |
@radeksimko- Not sure if I need to open a new issue, but I don't think that "ignore_changes" works for index capacity (might not be @humayunjamal exact use case but still a valid one) |
@bbernays You're right, that won't work because it's set field which has computed index, you'd have to ignore the whole index field. Either way unless there's an existing issue covering this please file it separately as it's not related to this issue. Thanks all. |
I’m having the same issue as @bflad. Have you created another issue for this? I cannot find anything, so not sure if I should create one. When having multiple targets (read and write, for example) and multiple policies, whenever we try to |
@radeksimko it was the version indeed! I was still on previous one. Thank you so much for the heads up! Somehow I missed that last issue reference! |
@radeksimko and @anbotero I'm experiencing the same issue where the |
@binarylogic weird. I didn't really find how to update providers, so I just deleted the .terraform folder where I ran the Terraform commands and did |
I am on v1.7.1 of the AWS provider and I'm still seeing this problem... Did you ever work this out @binarylogic ? |
Hi @bensquire, sorry for the delay. And no, I never got it to work, I had to move on. We use it for our dynamo tables and enable it manually while adding the following
Hope that helps. |
@binarylogic I've also moved away from this for the time being, but I appreciate the time you took coming back to me. We're not using DynamoDB, but your lifecycle idea might work... |
I'm going to lock this issue because it has been closed for 30 days ⏳. This helps our maintainers find and focus on the active issues. If you feel this issue should be reopened, we encourage creating a new issue linking back to this one for added context. Thanks! |
