So for the 3D transform, let's think in terms of the book facing you. The optimal condition would be something like this: if there is an image for the cover, scale the cover image proportionately to the height we have in the JSON. The width would follow proportionately. If we don't have height, we default to some height, and some proportionate width.
The book is drawn axonometrically. So you see it extruded towards you at something like a 45 degree angle, the degree of its extrusion is based on the page count in the JSON.
