It's now an internal implementation detail that, as a public interface, has been replaced by the `Sweep` trait.

Adds a new
Sweeptrait, which is implemented for various objects. This makes the implementation of the sweep algorithm more modular, and the interface nicer. I intend to make use of this in test code.
