dont load compass.app on ubuntu 11.10 oneiric

i start the run.sh after extract the package to my personal home folder, but dont works, no result after start this; not via doubleclick or terminal; i dont find also this on my search in www to an solution. Maybe you have other hint for to start the comapass.app. compass is installed and works fine.

Sorry for waiting; but i must find time and install the shell, now i have tested and is also the same problem, dont works; no result or message.

the new version dont work also :(
Compass starts with the info-window about Compass abb in menu bar only and then nothing; no icon on the menu bar.

No ican on the bar; also problems has Shutter (http://shutter-project.org/); but as example on Caffeine (https://launchpad.net/caffeine) works fine; maybe this helps?

Now i have found an solution.
Unity has whitelist for the menu bar icons.

the follow solution works fine

• install configuratuin editor: sudo apt-get install dconf-tools
• now start this editor: dconf-editor
• got to: desktop --> unity --> panel
• remove all entries to ['all']or create an whitelist with your apps; example: ['JavaEmbeddedFrame', 'Wine', 'Skype', 'hp-systray', 'scp-dbus-service']
• restart unity: unity --replace and check, if works or restart your client
