Changes made on mobile are lost on edit :( #13

  1. On desktop: convert one markdown field to html, sync
  2. On mobile: edit the html field, sync
  3. Back to desktop: sync, editing the field reverts it to the old value.

Seems like Mini Format Pack doesn't have this issue.

Hey, thanks for the report.

This is a limitation of the add-on unfortunately. The original field's contents are stored when converting from Markdown to HTML so that I don't have to worry about the messy problem of converting HTML back to Markdown.

Currently, the only way that a modification will persist is if you never use the add-on to convert back to Markdown, which isn't ideal obviously.

It shouldn't be an issue in Mini Format Pack. I think it was also an issue in the original Power Format Pack when using Markdown. I could be wrong about that though.

Hi @gregorrr ! There are some Python modules that take care of converting HTML to Markdown. Such as:

Would be great to use these so your plugin is compatible with all Anki clients!
