Pertinence of some rules

As I have been using ecoCode for some tests, I am kind of wondering how appropriate some of the rules are, and whether they are indeed beneficial. A good example of this is EC67:

Use ++i instead of i++

Here is the code that gets executed by SonarQube at each build to detect this:

Are we sure we are truly saving emissions here? Some of the time? How is carbon footprint of a rule executing measured/estimated?
