I noticed in the course of #161 that weatherbench2/datasets/era5/1959-2023_01_10-full_37-1h-1440x721.zarr can't be opened. It seems to be missing the usual zarr metadata files .zattrs, .zgroup, and .zmetadata.

It also seems to have some unusual tmp files inside (here for the integrated_vapor_transport variable):
