In order to use default flags (including --gc) for hugo (server) I work with bash aliases.

Yet, when there is a resources folder without an images in it you get this error message:

Error: failed to prune cache "images": remove …/resources/_gen/images: no such file or directory

It would probably be better if Hugo just ignored a missing images folder.

Maybe related to #5745
