Color rendering algorithms?

Hi I tried to render the color images my self for comparison, but I cannot get the color right. Here is the comparison of image 10 (top:mine, bottom:ref)
I first multiply the spectrum data with the D65 illuminant spectrum, then I use the standard color matching function $\bar{x},\bar{y} ,\bar{z}$ to calculate the CIE XYZ values, at the end I convert them back using CIE XYZ to sRGB (D65) matrix. Do you mind telling me more about the rendering process? Thank you a lot.

Hi, have you tried not multiplying by the D65 illuminant spectrum ?
These are pictures and not reflectance maps so you don't need an illuminant.
