skim-rs/skim not rendering properly over ssh [works in iTerm]

skim behaves weirdly when used over SSH to a VM running NixOS Locally, but the local version works fine on Mac.

Here's what works:

1. skim on VM (accessed via VMWare Fusion Console)
2. skim over SSH on iterm
3. local skim (nix-darwin) on Ghostty

The issue temporarily goes away on resize, but returns if there's any update on screen. I have attached a video to illustrate the issue below:

sk 0.15.7 on NixOS host and MacOS

System Details:
ghostty@tip [d1fd22a] (also tested on 1.0.1)
MacOS 15.2 Sequoia
SSH Host: NixOS

more specifically are you actually using ghostty terminfo on this remote host or did you set xterm-256color

I had already run infocmp -x | ssh YOUR-SERVER -- tic -x - to fix ssh errors that had xterm-ghostty in them (don't remember the exact error)
