Can’t make private model public

I created a private model, but when I switch it to public, the frontend sends:

{"space":{"is_private":false,"previous_updated_at":"2020-10-24T19:21:47.960Z"}}

and the backend responds:

{"is_private":["can't be blank"]}.

The error message that gets displayed is “error saving.”

But clearly, is_private it’s not actually blank.

This line has a comment that sounds relevant, but it might as well be coincidence.
