Hi

In order for the XBMC add-on to be more useful, we would need a way to be able to hide certain devices and scenes from the list view. For example background scenes that do automation tasks like schedules, I don’t need to ever see these or run them myself, so would want to be able to hide them from the add-ons GUI.

@cw-kid, do you want all the automation/schedule scenes to be hidden, or that the user manually chooses what to hide/show? (at least: what should be the default behavior?)

Hi

I think if the user can manually choose which Devices and Scenes they wish to hide from the GUI would be better.

Allot of the Vera - Android remote control apps such as AuthomationHD allow you to do this, so you can hide unwanted items from the views.

Thanks @cw-kid! I'll have a look at those apps to get ideas on how this could look and/or feel.

I'd also recommend an Android app called Imperihome which can be used to control various home automation controllers including Vera. It is highly customisable and you can create your own dashboards and choose which devices, scenes and widgets you want to be displayed.
