Support for comments would be a nice addition.

Common lisp, scheme and clojure all use semicolon as a single line comment character:

(1 ; this is ignored
2 3)

Everything from the semicolon to the end of the line is ignored.

There's also a less used block comment convention that looks like #|... |#
