Probably a silly question, but I am new to mac world so not sure: will m1xxx fork work for m2 (macbook air 2022)?

Yes 👍

M1/M2 all run the same architecture (arm64), so no differences there on the software side. Note that official support for Apple Silicon is in the pipeline, so stay tuned:
