The Tracker team (and other editors across FPF, so this has wider org implications potentially) drafts content in Google Docs and then copies it into Wagtail. Torchbox has an open-source package for automating this process. I don't want to move forward with using this yet, but I'd like someone to do an initial assessment and give rough answers to:

  • Is this small, medium, or large effort to install on our sites?
  • Is it compatible with our versions of Wagtail, Python, and Django (and is it kept up to date with LTSes)?
  • Does it do what we expect (allow editors to auto import articles from google drive into stream fields in blog pages and incident pages)?
