First of all, thank you very much for this community effort and this great library!
I'm going to invest a lot of money into a new AC for which I just want to make sure that I can control it with open source tools. I already found out that the key point here is that I should make sure that the Wifi module should be one of the older generation which has the local API which then (hopefully) is still compatible with pydaikin.
Since my AC's indoor unit is going to be a Daikin "channel device" (I hope I use the correct term), more common Wifi modules (BRP069A4x) don't seem to be compatible with that; therefore I searched the Daikin website for compatible modules and I found BRP069A81 (and only that, strangely), which, according to its name, is in the family BRP069Axx which seem to be supported by pydaikin.
The "issue" (why I'm sceptical) is that at least according to Daikin's product pages, the module BRP069A81 has support for their app. To me, this sounds a bit like they "improved" their firmwares to use their cloud instead of the local API. Or do these devices now support both?
