Thanks for the great article. I just plugged the filament sensor connector directly into the Z-Stop connector without making an extra adapter cable. This also works for me. Both have the same 3 PIN assignment. |
I'm having a problem with filament section in WEB UI is always show empty state, but led on sensor is turning green and red when I insert or remove filament. |
That means you 5v and ground is connected correct. But you Mainboard or your software is not receiving the signal. You should double check your hardware, your firmware and your octoprint or mainsail configurations |
Checked wires, and I made mistake with ground and 5v wire. When I switched position of that two wires, all started working as in article :) Now on to acceleration, input shaping and screen for my X2. |
Hello! has anyone used this function with a marlin firmware, specifically the latest one from freakydude? I am trying to make OctoPrint to use the z-stop connector but I am having trouble... |
Hi there, i tried to make my run out sensor work with klipper, worked almost...... it is recognized in mainsail, but the runout isnt, so when i take the filament out the led goes dark and thats it, filament back, led turns green.... any idea? Greetings from Frankfurt/Main area |
never mind!!!! just got the connection reversed..... now it works! |
