OFELIA Control Framework (OCF) is a set of software for testbed management, which has the mission to offer a simple yet flexible framework for automating the life-cycle of an experiment, understanding it as reservation, instantiation, configuration and uninistantiation.

OCF is currently deployed in OFELIA FP7 project testbed. under development, and is under an important refactoring process. The ideas behind its architecture are inspired in the experience of other testbed management tools and SFA concepts.

Authorship

OFELIA Control Framework is being in actively developed and used as the production CF by OFELIA FP7 project testbed. OCF is actively developed by WP5 group inside OFELIA FP7 project.

Expedient and Opt-In Manager were adapted from software gracefully provided by Stanford University.

Related software projects

  • The PyPElib library is a small library to help programmers to use abstractions provided by the libary to build rule-based Policy Engine(s) within a certain scope of action.
  • The ofver tool/library is used in OCF package to automate installation and upgrade procedures.
