Looks Like Telegram is trying to Limit Forkgram

I just stumbled upon an issue when using forkgram where I couldn't send any messages to anyone; with spambot saying my account was limited.

Then I was force logged out of my account on both forkgram and official tg client. When I came back to forkgram the issue was solved, but then again my account was limited.

My concern is that when I used telegram official client on the same device, there were no such limitations or any other issue that I saw on forkgram at the same time!

I was trying to send a message to a friend, then Telegram popped up something about possible Spam. And then it logged me out of all 4 of my devices.

I encountered the same issue, and now I can't log back into Telegram using Forkgram either.

@JoshuaKimsey, Forkgram refuses to let me get an SMS code or Call. It tells me to check my Telegram for a code. And on the official Linux version, I can select SMS but it doesn't send me a SMS.

I had to install official Telegram, select SMS code, this does actually send you an SMS, then log into Forkgram with the code Telegram sends you in Telegram.

Worried that my account would be marked as spam and log me out of all devices again though.

Yeah, have same issue, also Telegram deauthorized me from all devices all together.

Check your account on official t.me/SpamBot. In my case, account is free of restrictions, but a couple outgoing messages sent before deauth are missing.

I had to install official Telegram, select SMS code, this does actually send you an SMS, then log into Forkgram with the code Telegram sends you in Telegram.

You can't get a code via sms or call in an unofficial telegram client. Only official apps can request a code via sms or call

In my case, account is free of restrictions, but a couple outgoing messages sent before deauth are missing.

This is the case with me, too that I forgot to mention.
Some of my messages in one of my private chats are missing. However, they say that the whole chat is missing on their end.

Same happened to me yesterday! I thought first my account was hacked but I have MFA enabled so it's less possible.

I had to install the official client and got the confirmation code by WhatsApp, not SMS. So more paranoia but after trying to request a different code and not getting anything I used the WhatsApp one, it worked.

When sending messages from Fork to a non contact I get the spam message that I need to be mutual contact, but checked the spam bot and I'm not limited.

Ended up uninstalling Fork Client because I cannot lose my account. Shame on Telegram if they're limiting clients, like X did when Musk took over.

You need to use telegram official client to get the code via sms
For any other problems you need to reach out to telegram support I suppose

You need to use telegram official client to get the code via sms
For any other problems you need to reach out to telegram support I suppose

I forgot to mention that I'm using Telegram client and inside that I'm getting "Activation code sent"

@MinorX if your account is deleted or banned by telegram you will have no way of returning it.
Login to your account and see if anything has happened

The account is safe and not deleted/banned.
I just can't enter it , it shows me at first "Code sent to your other device" , then I send the code via sms and it shows "New activation code has been sent to your sim".

Lol , too dumb of Telegram to show "Activation code sent" , it's not activation code , it's login code.
Now I've logged in after being worried that it'll reset my account.

I had messages from an entire day erased. Also logged out of all authorized devices. As soon as I switched to official app my account was no longer limited.
Sadly I'll have to abandon this app, the account is too important to me. I know there's nothing we can do, but really sucks that 3rd party clients are targeted after so long...kinda reminds me of Twitter and reddit restricting 3rd party apps.
