The buffer size is too low when screen sharing [with audio] on Zoom. Checked with running "pw-top".

It's causing xruns/stuttering/crackling.

"zoomrecord" is running at 256 samples.
"ZOOM VoiceEngine" is running at 480 samples.

The PipeWire default is set at 1024 samples.

Running zoom from the terminal, with "PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=83 flatpak run us.zoom.Zoom" solves the problem.

System Info

  • Pop!_OS 22.04
  • Gnome 42.5
  • X11
  • PipeWire 0.3.70
  • Flatpak 1.12.7
