When my minecraft tries to connect the Microsoft account it is trying to connect and do not connect, if I try to enter the settings, it appears a written screen "connecting" and then I can not leave and I am required to close, as the application hangs When I clasp I need to use xkill to kill the process

I cannot confirm this bug on archlinux x86_64, more information needed.
Please provide a launcher log:

  • Press the launcher setting button image
  • Enable show gamelog on startup image
  • Press close
  • Press play
  • Wait 20seconds after the loading screen disappeared before trying to login
  • Press login anywhere in the game
  • Tell me if it doesn't open any window
  • Provide the log in the log window
    image
  • You can copy all the text with this button image
  • paste the log here within markdown code tags (+ newline + paste the log + newline +) or as an text attachment

Did login ever worked on your device? (before today)
Maybe try logging in with Minecraft 1.16.20-1.16.201 then switch back to latest.

  • Press the edit profile button image
  • Press the shown version to change it
  • Press save
  • Try login there
  • Close the game
  • Change it back to latest, same steps as above.

I tried the following steps, but it is working fine for me.

  • launch Minecraft 1.16.220 with flatpak (last update)
  • Wait for the game to load, it is not enough to only wait for the loading screen to disappear (it is still loading, may take longer with slow internet)
  • press sign in
  • For me it opens a login window, signed in
  • For me it opens another window to confirm the login
  • Shows connecting
  • Then it connected (within 60 seconds for me)

as the application hangs When I clasp I need to use xkill to kill the process

I can only confirm the freeze if you close it while connecting.

Nothing of what he had worked, but then I discovered that the problem related to not logging on my DNS server, this is already settled, but inside the game beyond the texture being wrong, as if it were 1 pixel more to the side in most blocks, the crafts of items are messy, as the craft of a chest ends up generating a crafting table, but it does not allow me to get the craft I did

I also had a problem at the time of inserting a skin, as informed in another issue by another user here in Github, but the case of informing the zenity in the argument did not work, returning the same error from Ubuntu user, perhaps because I do not use gnome nor kde, who install certain packages, but in my case I created a skins pack to be able to get around this

Your issue goes offtopic.
Please close this one and open a new one.

Both the texture and crafting bugs are bugs of the x86(_64) version of the game vote on bugs.mojang.com.

Crafting: use the green crafting book and right click the desired item to craft it. (not the item inside the crafting grid)

There is a high demand for broken current game versions in this launcher.
