Hi, I'm looking to install the Beta and Nightly branches of Brave alongside the Stable version. I noticed Microsoft Edge has the Stable and Dev branches available as separate entries on Flathub which made them super easy to install. Is there any chance the Brave Browser could be expanded similarly?

You could download the beta branch but this not the case for nightly.. Will work on it later, but the only way to pull it off is by creating a new app submission

Also note in my original post that with my use case I desire to have Stable and Beta and Nightly installed all at the same time. As far as I know, switching to beta would replace stable Brave.

You could run both, I think flatpak overrides the desktop file entry but you could still switch between branches with the flatpak run command.. Something like flatpak run com.brave.Browser//master and for beta just replace master with beta.

I tried the above suggestion, but it didn't really do what I want.

First I installed com.brave.Browser//beta from the beta flathub repo. Then I did flatpak run com.brave.Browser//beta and flatpak run com.brave.Browser//stable and I compared the versions in the about screen, they were the same browser. I discovered this is because you can't have two browser versions running at the same time using this method, it'll just launch whatever you already have running.

Then there's the problem of the profile, using this method both browsers are stored in ~/.var/app/com.brave.Browser but I would really prefer to have beta and nightly with their own folders and their own profiles. I believe there's no workaround for this issue except just running them as different users but that's not a great solution.

Having multiple flathub entries for all the browser versions currently makes the most sense in my mind.

I would really like such functionality, as @JoshuaFern said having multiple Flathub versions makes the most sense.
I was wondering wether the Brave team is open to this idea?
