  • Changelog entries added in the respective changelog/ directory (user-facing change, bug fix, security fix, update)
  • Inspected CI output for image differences: /boot and /usr size, packages, list files for any missing binaries, kernel modules, config files, kernel modules, etc.

Patch has been backported to 9.6 (gentoo/gentoo@1633ef4) - I would be in favor of bumping to 9.6_p1-r5 and avoid bringing eventual side effect by bumping from 9.6 to 9.7. What do you think?

EDIT: It has been discussed on Matrix to bump to 9.7
