This issue describes how to implement the pointers concept exercise for the C# track.

Getting started

Please please please read the docs before starting. Posting PRs without reading these docs will be a lot more frustrating for you during the review cycle, and exhaust Exercism's maintainers' time. So, before diving into the implementation, please read up on the following documents:

Goal

The goal of this exercise is to teach the student advanced aspects of the Concept of Pointers in C#.

Learning objectives

  • Know what pointers are.
  • Know how to define and use pointer types.
  • Know how to use the unsafe keyword and pointer operators.
  • Know how to use the fixed keyword.

Out of scope

  • Debugging memory leaks.

Concepts

This Concepts Exercise's Concepts are:

  • pointers: know what pointers are; know how to define and use pointer types; know how to use the unsafe keyword and pointer operators; know how to use the fixed keyword.

Prequisites

This Concept Exercise's prerequisites Concepts are:
