"Crop image" Feature missing

It would be cool if you can crop a image, when it is insert into a document.

Now you have to crop it in a external programm - but if this function is inside pencil, it would be cool

An experimental version of this feaure was added to the development branch several months ago which you can try by installing the nightly builds.

This is also something I'm desperately looking for. Last info from 1.5 years ago. Was it working as expected in dev branch? Will it make it into any release?

ps: I couldn't find any such feature in the nightly build either.
