I started collecting issues related to client restoration, it has been suggested we should all coordinate the best strategies to restore clients to support the original/classic chain.
The article for client restoration needs elaboration, I will link to go-ethereum examples once I finish the process in the next release. If you have time please contribute to this article or the discussion on how best to preform restoration.
This is also the venue for people to share their opinions on the current strategy and offer proposals for alternative strategies. The conclusions can be added to the file.
Open Questions For Client Restoration
Coordinate changes across all clients to easily allow both ETC/ETH clients to run in the same userspace. In production environments clients will likely be run in isolated environments so this is may only be relevant for GUI clients.
