In **NAT** mode, the VM shares the host machine's network connection. To set up NAT, follow these steps:

1. Open your virtual machine's settings (in VirtualBox, for example).
2. Go to **Network** and select **Adapter 1**.
3. Change the **Attached to** option to **NAT**.
4. Save the settings and restart the VM.

In this mode, the VM will be isolated from the local network but can access the internet through the host.

### Bridged Adapter

In **Bridged Adapter** mode, the VM gets its own IP address from the local network, and it behaves like a separate machine on the network.

To configure this:

1. Open your virtual machine's settings (in VirtualBox, for example).
2. Go to **Network** and select **Adapter 1**.
3. Change the **Attached to** option to **Bridged Adapter**.
4. Save the settings and restart the VM.

The VM will now get an IP address from your router and can communicate with other devices on the local network.
