Steps to reproduce

  1. Send some messages into an encrypted room
  2. Invite another user
  3. Join as another user
  4. Some messages are missing

Outcome

What did you expect?

All messages and history visible

What happened instead?

Messages missing

Element Nightly version: 2023052901 Olm version: 3.2.14

S-Major because as joined user I am unaware that messages are missing.
S-Occasional because inviting users to e2ee rooms happens frequently.
