Steps to reproduce

  1. (optional) Open FluffyChat 1.2.0 or newer
  2. (optional) Create a new story
  3. Open Element iOS or get invited to a story room on Element iOS
  4. You see invisible notification, the invite cannot be accepted and should you join on FluffyChat or Element Web and not mute the room, every new story brings a notification for invisible room.

Outcome

What did you expect?

I expected to see the FluffyChat story room of type msc3588.stories.stories-room and messages in it.

What happened instead?

Element iOS hides the room entirely, but shows notifications of it's existence.

Missing appropiate field I forgot to say that the draft MSC is at matrix-org/matrix-spec-proposals#3588

The proposal was made by the developer of FluffyChat

The support for stories has been removed from FluffyChat as of 1.17.0

Stories were replaced with presence status messages in this pull request: krille-chan/fluffychat#736

And the original proposal was never merged, and has been closed since
