Describe the bug

I am having a conversation with someone using element-web and every time they send me a message, my android app notifies me.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Have a conversation in a room with noisy notification settings.
  2. Keep the window open on the other device
  3. Android app buzzes every time I receive a message even though I have the conversation open elsewhere

Expected behavior

If I'm actively viewing a room, I don't have notifications on any other device

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: Pixel 2
  • OS: Android 11

Additional context

  • App store, version 1.1.15 [40101152] (G-b2969)
  • Homeserver: matrix.org
