Error message shown up while adding Kafka integration (v0.3.6 on 7.12 BC2) #93253

Kibana version:
7.12 BC2 Kibana Cloud environment
BUILD 39000
COMMIT 4f65a5a

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new policy in Fleet (no Agents assigned to this policy yet)
  2. Add Integration 'Kafka' to this new policy.
  3. Observe an error message is shown up. Screenshot attached for reference.

Expected Result:
No error message should be displayed while adding kafka integration to any Policy.

@skh confirmed it was on the Fleet side and so I transferred it to Kibana for proper monitoring.... eww, I hope I didn't lose all of the discussion / context from when it was in Integrations repo when I did that, ouch, sorry, if so. :(

Sonja, here or in the pr do you mind to post what change caused it so we can evaluate it for test improvement needed.

When we see the fix, it will be good to confirm if we want to test any other Integrations that have unique yml that the main Fleet team coverage Integrations (System, Linux, Windows, Endpoint) do NOT have which we want to cover. @masci let us know any of them you want us to document as a manual test case on the Kibana side, and Sonja we can review what is automated and what can easily be automated perhaps in Kibana or e2e-testing repo
