[Dashboard] Make it easier to navigate between recent dashboards

Describe the feature:
Currently, you might open many tabs, create a faux tab nav with links inside a panel, or perhaps use drilldowns in an unconventional fashion.

Describe a specific use case for the feature:
A user is working on or checking multiple dashboards which necessitates quickly switching between them in consecutive fashion.

Proposed ideas

This issue is the result of a Slack discussion where several ideas were tossed around.

• Explore the overlap of Dashboard and Canvas; possibly leveraging the concept of pages in the latter.
• Implement a VS Code-like solution with regards to augmented breadcrumb navigation. There are some caveats here with regards to breaking existing navigation patterns that should be carefully considerd.

Other considerations

• We have a 'Recently viewed' section in the left nav; however, it is not too readily accessible via keyboard
• Navigational search may ease some of the pain. With a quick keyboard shortcut, users can more quickly jump to another Dashboard.
  • Furthering this idea, the Core UI is monitoring how to improve the initial search experience which includes consideration for displaying recent items by default (as opposed to the current app list)

This is such a cool idea, but would likely not work as such from the Dashboard point of view. For a similar use-case we are planning to build out the Navigation Embeddable which can be used to group together related dashboards in a way that preserves ease of navigation.
