Conditions/Threshold Example

JVM memory heap usage is averaging at more than 90% for the past 5min

Possible troubleshooting actions
Will be sourced from:
https://www.elastic.co/blog/a-heap-of-trouble
https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/circuit-breaker.html#parent-circuit-breaker

Also:

  • Add new nodes
  • Check currently active hot threads
  • Delete unnecessary indices
  • Reduce the number or complexity of requests to the cluster
  • Increase current nodes' size (CPU/Memory/etc...)
