Export of CSV aggregate data from Visual Builder #41600
Comments

This sounds like a great idea. TSVB querying and data modeling all happens on the server-side, which tend to make it easy to build automated exports of data on top of it. |
TSVB table is great to make SRE report than standard Data Table visualization. But it cannot export the table report into CSV. This feature is a must for Kibana. |

This would help me much right now. |

Closing this issue because this is supported in Lens visualizations. You can also migrate your TSVB visualizations to Lens with a button in 8.2 (unreleased at the time of the writing) Since this would require a large development effort to implement in Visualize/TSVB and our efforts are focused on extending the functionality of Lens in easy-to-use and consistent way. We aim to provide the best possible visualization editing experience in Lens and are working to improve that tool and help users migrate. |
Describe the feature:
We don't expect Kibana to do all the possible combinations of data analysis, but it does a great job of domain and time first pass filter, aggregation and presentation.
We are of the common habit of taking that aggregate data from existing visualizations and exporting to CSV's for second order analysis ( which may include further aggregating results from other sources )
Unfortunately this feature of CSV export is not supported in Visual Builder, and comes as a surprise to each user then they just expect it to be there, having got use to depending on it from other visualisations such as line graphs.
Data
Describe a specific use case for the feature:
Second order analysis of data that is outside of the general capability of Kibana.
