I've been using https://github.com/prelert/kibana-swimlane-vis and now that Prelert is part of Elastic, it makes sense to see this incorporated in Kibana's core for easier maintenance and broader reach.

Ditto on @nikolay's comment above - I find it very useful as well in many of my use case (dashboard) presentations.

There is now add to dashboard options for swimlane visualizations to integrate these with the rest of your dashboard panels.

As well as being able to embed the anomaly swim lane from ML into dashboards, the heat map chart type was added to Lens in 7.14 (#97978), allowing you to build the same visualization as was possible with the Prelert swimlane plugin.
