In #148241 we added a new column in the Snapshots list showing the state of the snapshot. The state is not one of the valid values for sort as per ES documentation and therefore it can't be done with the ES request only.

@jovana-andjelkovic pointed that ideally all the columns should be sortable, so I'm creating this issue to work on that as a separare task
