I am trying display a bar of host server names that have processed the services requests within a specified timeframe. However, I want to exclude a certain list of servers with particular name pattern. For example: exclude all hosts with name starting with serverp* instead of individually specifying serverp01, ... serverp100. It looks like the exclude list is very literal.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,

No, this is not available in the terms panel. We'll be adding this as an advanced option in Kibana 4 as it does work in aggregations. Roadmap issue here: #1527
