User Profile System Theme #155945

Pinging @elastic/kibana-security (Team:Security) |
I updated the issue description to note this is blocked on #89340 |
@legrego @pgayvallet @kc13greiner Now that #89340 has been implemented, is there still work to do here? If "Dark Mode: Sync with system" set at the System level, then is there still a need to have this option at the user level? |
Separate question, is this issue a duplicate of #173895? |
I closed #173895 as a duplicate, and have marked this as unblocked. |
Currently, users can only choose 'Space default', 'Light', and 'Dark' for their desired theme.
Users should have a setting that matches their OS setting; this option was originally listed in early mockups
This is non-trivial as the OS Theme setting is retrieved from the browser, but KB calculates the style sheet paths and scss variables on the server.
This is blocked on Kibana-wide support for using the system theme: #89340
