Agreed, I liked this feature in Kibana 2, now that Kibana 4 has a backend again it should be doable. |

We're planning on waiting for #3350 to do this |

Sounds like maybe #1011 covers your request? That one seems a bit more general than this one so I think it would encompass your requests and you can follow any updates for an improved alerting system in Kibana via that issue? If no objections, I'll go ahead and close. Trying to clean up and consolidate some of these issues. But if this is more unique and still desired, we can re-open. |
Saved searches are great, but old version of kibana had a really good feature too, it was rss feed.
This is usefull because you can create searches with the ability to trigger alerts easily:
http://myserver.com/kibana/index.html#/dashboard/elasticsearch/Alert_event1?rss=1
or
http://myserver.com/kibana/index.html#/dashboard/elasticsearch/Alert_event1/rss
Then you only need to subscribe to the RSS feed and automatic alerts are ready, rss client is even going to detect alerts already received because they are already downloaded by the client like any other RSS feed.
Thanks in advance.
