Kibana version:
main, v7.16

Summary:
[Lens] Rank by functionality not working well for Proportion charts

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create or open Lens visualization;
  2. Switch to the Treemap chart and configure it;
  3. Try to apply Rank by for firsts dimension.

Expected behavior: sorting should be applied

Closing this as it's expected behavior - the "ranking" of top values is not necessarily represented in the chart (e.g. see pie chart), it's about selecting which values to show (e.g. selecting the top 5 by some metric out of 100 possible values).
