Choose map marker colors

I'm using Bettermap to place points on a map. I see the Tooltip - but I'd LOVE to be able to choose the color of the marker. If I could pick that color then I can encode quite a bit of data in the map.

In my case, I have a moving item that's in a connected or disconnected state so it's reporting points that I have on the BetterMap. I'd love to make the map markers red or green based on the state - I could just specify a color when I send in the map location point. Then I could just look at the map and see what's happening to my item.

We are working on a new implementation of map visualizations and are not planning to add any new features to the existing implementation. We will take this suggestion under consideration for the new app.

This feature request has been implemented in the new Maps application. The Maps application will be available as a beta preview in the upcoming stack releases 6.7.0 and 7.0.0.
