IIndexPattern is a legacy type that contains too much ambiguity. It exists in the data plugin but some API consumers rely on its flexibility so we can't remove it without addressing the API consumers first. IndexPattern or IndexPatternSpec should be used instead. If this isn't possible, AppServices should be consulted.

  • Remove IIndexPattern from data plugin code
